Best practice for integrating the life skills resources into your workplace

In order to get the most out of Liggy Webb’s life skills resources, we recommend the following suggestions as ways to maximise engagement from your colleagues:

Paperback books

The paperback books offer an alternative modality to the digital versions. They are small (A6 size), and easy to carry. Not everyone prefers digital, so it can be nice to have hard copy books available to browse through, or borrow.

Perhaps invest in a display stand to present the paperback books and help improve distribution.

All books are in print and available to order. Bulk discounts are available, simply ask for a quotation.

Digital posters

Print the posters and display around the workplace, breakout or meeting areas. There are posters for most of the life skills topics. These are ALL FREE to download from our free resources page, and you can then print them and display around your workplace.

Book covers and meta data

The spreadsheet provided with the digital library subscription contains useful book cover image links, and meta information for building web page snippets for each book, or for using in your LMS. By utilising this data you can enhance the “link” to each book. See the installation help for guidance on setting up intranet/Sharepoint/Teams pages.

Focus on one topic at a time

Rather than present the full library to your employees, consider providing one or two titles per month in order to achieve more focus.

Provide blog links

There are dozens of useful blog posts on liggywebb.com to complement the life skills topics. Use the search facility on the website to discover posts relevant to your current wellbeing theme and direct your colleagues to the articles.

Email campaigns

Produce regular email campaigns to keep colleagues informed about the topics available and where to find them. Perhaps introduce one subject each month and promote with links to the resource.

Review the client stories

Client stories on the website show how other organisations are successfully implementing the life skills resources resulting in positive engagement from their employees.

Work is what you make it. Reading this sentence was like an awakening for me and made me aware of what I can do to help myself to change my attitude towards work. I really enjoy Liggy’s style: clear, direct and inspiring.

People within the organisation have commented on how helpful they have found the advice in the bite sized books They make some great points with the main take away being the importance of having a positive and optimistic outlook on life.

It’s amazing reading Liggy Webb’s book Resilience. It helps you refocus your efforts and shows what it takes at times of strife and acute anxiety to push on through

Paul R ManeyHead of Strategic Planning, Leeds Council

Liggy’s presentation style was a fun, lively and interactive and this was without a doubt, the most positive and productive masterclass I have ever attended. Not only was it full of meaningful content, but it provided useful actions which were simple to adopt and consequently it has already started to make a difference for me, my family and my work – nice to be part of something where everyone benefits!

Liz SheeranLearning and Development, RSPCA

I love Liggy’s books because they are creative, concise and really useful

Janet BakerDeputy Regional Director of Public Health, Department of Health (West Midlands)

Liggy provided a very enjoyable and energetic day for the team. She gave us lots of tips on having a positive approach to work and life and how to manage our own emotions, look for opportunities and to make sure we take care of ourselves in a time of change. We set personal actions plans which will help us in taking forward the tips we want to adopt. A day that is fully recommended to other teams.

Gavin HorsfallRoyal Shakespeare Company

Liggy’s presentation was a really fascinating session introducing the concepts of positive thinking and identifying our behaviour patterns. All the staff who attended came out feeling well informed and with lots of practical steps they could use to improve their workplace wellness.

James SavvaDiversity and Inclusion Program Manager - House of Commons

Liggy’s approach to wellbeing and resilience is effective and incredibly accessible giving her work a universal edge. Her natural warmth, empathy and kindness is engaging, and her ability to break what can be an overwhelming topic into digestible and practical tips is a gift I am extremely grateful to have experienced.
