At HomeServe, our peak period brings a unique energy. It is busy, fast-paced and full of moving parts as teams work tirelessly to support customers when they need it most. It’s also a time when our colleagues, from engineers out on the road to frontline teams managing high customer demand, need practical tools to feel supported and stay resilient.
That’s why, in Q4 2025, we launched our Resilience Booster Series, partnering with Liggy Webb to bring bite-sized, accessible wellbeing learning and inspiration into the flow of everyday work. Each live webinar was designed to give people a moment to pause, reset and take away something simple but powerful they could put into practice straight away.
The challenge: Supporting employee wellbeing during high demand
During peak, colleagues face additional pressures, higher workloads, unpredictable days, and the emotional intensity that comes with helping customers through urgent situations. We knew that if we wanted people to sustain their energy and continue delivering their best, we needed to provide
targeted inspiration that was:
- Easy to access
- Relevant to real challenges
- Practical and grounded in evidence
- Flexible enough to fit into busy schedules
Success, for us, would mean colleagues feeling more equipped, more aware of their own triggers, and more confident in managing the demands of the season.
The solution: The resilience booster series
Across October and December 2025, HomeServe delivered a structured campaign of five 30-minute live webinars, hosted on MS Teams and led by Liggy Webb, each focusing on a different aspect of resilience:
- Leading Wellbeing (for people managers)
- Stress Intelligence
- Kindness at Work
- Winter Wellbeing
- Positive Mindset

Every webinar was recorded for on-demand access, ensuring inclusion for colleagues unable to attend live. To deepen the learning, we also provided:
- Digital flipbooks and audiobooks in our LMS
- A Manager Toolkit with conversation starters and suggested team activities
This combination of live sessions and flexible resources created a consistent drumbeat throughout the period.
The results: Engagement and reach
The appetite for the series was clear from the start:
- 339 colleagues attended live sessions
- 144 colleagues accessed session recordings
- 194 colleagues engaged with digital flipbooks or audiobooks
Participants joined from across the organisation – including Service Operations, Finance, People, Marketing, Compliance & Risk and Technology & Change. This highlighed that resilience is a universal need, not role‑specific.
The impact: Behaviour and mindset shifts
The most meaningful impact came through in the stories colleagues shared. Many described changes they had made as a direct result of the sessions and resources, including:
- Being kinder to themselves, a real lightbulb moment for several colleagues
- Actively noticing stress triggers earlier in the day
- Building better sleep habits
- Taking lunch breaks and walks outdoors, even on rainy WFH days
- Journaling gratitude and positive events
- Consciously reducing overthinking
- Managers role‑modelling wellbeing habits with their teams
These came through strongly across individual feedback entries in the Resilience Series Feedback data.
Colleagues also shared high advocacy, often rating 8–10 out of 10 when asked how likely they were to recommend Liggy’s flipbooks or audiobooks.
Reflection: Why this partnership worked
From our perspective, a few things made this collaboration with Liggy so impactful:
- Consistency: Working with same expert across all sessions built trust and familiarity.
- Practicality: The tools were simple, evidence‑based and genuinely useful in the moment.
- Tone: Warm, human and grounded and exactly what people needed during a demanding time.
- Accessibility: The variety of formats removed barriers and gave colleagues choice.
- Timing: Delivered exactly when wellbeing support was needed most.
Several colleagues commented that although resilience is often expected, it’s not often taught. This series helped fill that gap and the difference was felt.
Summary: Long-term impact on learning and development
For HomeServe, the Resilience Booster Series was far more than a set of webinars. It was a way to create a supportive environment during a busy and often stressful time, giving colleagues tools they could return to again and again.
The partnership with Liggy brought expertise, warmth and a sense of calm reassurance into our organisation, something our colleagues clearly valued.
The Resilience Booster Series is just one example of how we’re reimagining development to be more inclusive, more accessible and genuinely for everybody. We’re evolving our offer to move beyond traditional training and create learning that fits into real life – practical, human and available in multiple formats so colleagues can grow in the way that works best for them.
Our new Development Framework is built on the belief that learning happens every day, not just in a classroom, and that everyone deserves the tools, opportunities and confidence to shape their own future. Whether it’s through digital resources, workshops, peer learning, coaching or micro‑experiences, we’re creating a learning ecosystem that welcomes everyone in.
This is development that adapts to our people, reflects the way work really happens, and ensures every colleague can build the skills, mindset and resilience they need to thrive – today and tomorrow.
